Carting Practice!!!
Saturday, March 21 2026 at 9:30-11:30am
Kleiner Park Loop, Meridian, ID 83642
Cloe, Hero, and Thor had a great time enjoying the weather and all the distractions at the park today. Cloe is practicing for a draft test in April and she is doing great... just a few "minor" things to work on.
Hero is one of our awesome parade carters and he decided to come out and play on our maneuvering course. He did a great job but halfway through the weave he had a look at said, "Dad, just pick a direction already!".
Thor had an almost perfect first run through the course today. His second run was... well, typical Thor. Prior to Thor's second run he found a lap to sit in and he was in heaven. During his second run, ,his "lap", got in her car to leave. When Thor saw her get in the car he veered off course to try and catch her. On the plus side he did back up both times!
Thanks everyone for coming out to play!

Saturday, December 6 at 5:00pm
Kleiner Park Loop, Meridian, ID 83642
We are now entered into the Caldwell Nightlight Parade! The theme this year is "Winter Nights & Magical Lights".
The parade is Saturday December 6th and this is a really great way to be part of the Christmas magic and to have fun with your dogs!
Carts, dogs, and walkers should all be decorated and lite up. We also hand out candy during the parade.
More details will come later as I get them. Please let me know if you can make it for either carting or walking.
Below is a list of potential carters and walkers.

Caldwell Night Parade
12/3/2022
Two nights and two parades! What a weekend! Last night we participated in the biggest Christmas parade in the valley, the Caldwell Night Parade. 83 floats, over two miles, and a nice warm 30 degrees. Thank you Caldwell Chamber of Commerce for letting us participate in this parade again!
For this parade our carting crew included two Bernese Mountain (Pippin, Yukon) dogs, a Newfoundland (Prescott), a Saint Bernard (Thor), and a Dane mix named Finn. This was Finn's very first time pulling a real cart and he acted like an old pro at it. So proud of you Finn!
Walking with us we had another Bernese Mountain dog, a Great Dane, and of course Neil, a Golden Retriever.
This parade was also the first time Thor did not walk with me but he walked with Megan Quijano the entire route. Megan, Thor, and our little Grinch did such an amazing job making people happy.
Thanks everyone for participating in this super fun event!
Meridian Night Parade
12/2/2022
Thanks to everyone who came out and joined us at the Meridian Night Parade! We had four dogs pulling some very creative carts and another seven dogs walking with us.
I heard so many comments from the crowd; "here come the dogs!", "we love the dogs!", "you made my day!", and so many more words of appreciation. Parades are such a fun event to be part of. Thank you Meridian Chamber of Commerce for allowing us to be part of this wonderful event!
A special thanks goes out to our "working dog" Corgi who can work a crowd like a rock start!
Saturday we still have the Caldwell Night Parade and we have had several people pull out due to sickness. We can use more dogs so please enjoy the photos and come join us!
Carting Practice
11/20/2022
We had an amazing carting practice today at Camelsback park. Thank you to everyone who came out!
We had to maneuver around rocks, over wooden bridges, switchbacks, trails narrower than the carts, and one steep drop off. All of the dogs were absolutely superb in this new environment.
Come out and see us December 2nd at the Meridian Night Parade and December 3rd at the Caldwell Night Parade. If you have a big working dog and would like to walk with us in the parade please let me know.
Parade Season is Here!
11/7/2022
This year we are signing up for three parades.
Friday, Dec 3rd - Meridian Winterlights Parade
Saturday, Dec 4th - Caldwell Night Light Parade
Saturday, Jan 29th - McCall Winter Carnival Parade
Please come out and join us! I am hoping to have at least half a dozen dogs with carts and another twenty to twenty five well behaved working dogs to walk along with us. We will need to be decorated (with lots of lights) for all of these parades and we can hand out candy for all of them as well.
Please let me know if you are able to participate as soon as possible and spread the word to all of your big dog friends!
Idaho Veterans Parade
11/5/2022
This weekend Thor and I participated in the Idaho Veterans Parade in Boise Idaho. We took part along with our team mates at GoTeam Therapy and Crisis Dogs.
It was a wonderful event and our veterans deserve so much more than we have given them.

Thanks again to the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce for putting on such an amazing parade and for picking our group as the Best Non-Motorized Entry!
Thank you to the Crookham Company for sponsoring the award and the very unexpected cash prize.
Thanks again to everyone that participated in our group, it was an amazing experience. I hope everyone that participated in our group is okay with me donating the prize money to the Idaho Saint Bernard Rescue. Jayme Jones.
Caldwell Night Light Parade
12/05/2022
Thank you everyone who joined us for the Caldwell night light parade! We had Saints, Bernese, Newfies, Danes, labs, Entlebuchers, and even a really tough and excited "English" Cocker Spaniel!
It was such an amazing experience! I loved hearing the crowd call out for the dogs and cheering for them. We handed out candy and as many petting opportunities that we could. I may be biased but I think we were the people's favorite!
Thank you Caldwell Chamber of Commerce for letting us participate in your parade!
